About
Mythili is a freelance journalist based in New York. After a stint working in law firms as a paralegal and global trade analyst, she has spent the last 17 years as a reporter, editor, news curator, and communications strategist. Mythili had covered the United Nations and negotiations leading up to the signing of the Paris Agreement on climate change from around the world in addition to stories on press freedom, education, tech, foreign policy, and the circus of American politics. Mythili loves community media journalists and worked with them for years at CUNY’s Center for Community Media. She has also been the president of the South Asian Journalist Association and an editor for the VOICES student fellowship program for the Asian American Journalist Association.
In her spare time, she stares at the growing piles of unread books in her apartment and attempts to be a collage artist.
